A number of associated artists work with Gwary Reg. Here are a few of them who will be joining our first tour – our production of ‘National Minority’:

Jason Squibb is a producer, director and actor. He is Artistic Director of Collective Arts Ltd, specialising in large scale productions, such as the Falmouth Charter celebrations and a play about Admiral Nelson for the SeaBritain Festival. Jason has worked on a number of adaptations from the Cornish medieval dramatic tradition. He directed the Life of St Meriasek and Alan M. Kent’s Bewnans Peran. Since 2007 he has also performed with Miracle Theatre and was cast as Rev. Rupert Longfellow in Miracle’s first feature film Tin, and has gone on to play many vicars, including the Rev. Clarence Odgers in the BBC’s Poldark. He has also performed with Trebiggan Productions. His TV and film roles include work on Doc Martin (Buffalo Pictures), Skynt – the musical, The Car (BBC), The Bill (Thames) and Steps (HTV/Westernlights). Jason has also worked as a motion capture actor with the Moving Picture Company.

He co-founded Cube Essential Theatre in 2007. Since then he has been its artistic director. Cube has toured extensively and is now resident company at Hall For Cornwall. The company is currently working on a one-man play about fatherhood and an version of The Crucible for the Minack. Rebecca Hulbert was born and brought up in Cornwall. She trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in acting and has worked in theatre, film, television and radio. She has worked with a variety of theatre companies in Britain as well as Teatro Modus Vivendi in Italy, touring the play Bloody Poetry by Howard Brenton. In Cornwall she worked with Miracle Theatre and Cube Theatre. She recently toured with Cube in After the Accident, a play that explored the issues around restorative justice, and won the Amnesty International ‘Protect the Human’ play-writing competition in 2008. She is also a music worker for the charity WILD Young Parents Project.

Wesley Griffith was born and bred in St Ives in Cornwall and studied acting at the Guildford School of Acting. Along with stage performances and a few pieces of film he also records plays and poems. He is inspired by the work of playwright Harold Pinter whilst his favourite role to date has been Frank Gibbons in a not very well known Noel Coward play – This Happy Breed, in which the character ages twenty years over the course of the action. His role in National Minority poses an exciting new challenge for him.

Daniel Richards helped found Falmouth-based theatre company Near-ta Theatre at the age of 16 and went on to work on the majority of their shows. He was part of Miracle Theatre for a year and a half and worked on several productions, including Cat’s Cradle and Tartuffe.
